30 Days of Service

Some tips for the ShareFest event at Spencer School Campus. If you have household hazardous waste and/or recyclables including clothes & home good items , please use the south entrance to the campus which is the Spencer Pointe side. When done, then you will be guided to the north parking lot if you want to attend the events inside.

If you are volunteering for the event or just want to park and visit, then use the north entrance and parking lot which is the Spencer Crossing side. Also donated books, food and items for troops, and pet supplies can be brought to the Spencer Crossing side of the school (North parking lot)

Uniting in Compassionate Community Service

ShareFest is an annual September festival of sharing & caring. During this time throughout the community we collect books, clothes, food, home goods, and items for our troops. Then we give it all away at our free exchange at our "Main Event" which is held at Spencer School Campus 1711 S. Spencer Rd. the second Saturday in September.  In addition, we offer a free reuse/recycling event that allows Will County residents the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous waste, electronics, Styrofoam, and scrap metal and more. This year we will have paper shredding available as well as free legal advice from a group of pastors that are also attorneys. In addition, we offer a Free Health & Safety Fair, and fix/up and repair projects for seniors, veterans, and those in need as well as a workday project for the Forest Preserve District of Will County. A Job & Resource Fair is also scheduled on the second Friday. These needs are only met through hundreds of volunteers sacrificing their time, talents, and treasures in compassionate community service. Our model of service to others has proven to be successful involving over 140 organizations and is available for any organization plug into.
Activities include:

  • blood drive
  • book drive /free exchange
  • clothing and home goods drive/ free exchange
